We enjoy hearing from those who have been ministered to by our music. This came from Shelley in Oklahoma, and we wanted to share her story.
I went to see second chapter of acts in concert in 1982. I was going to OBU at the time. Your music, along with Keith Green’s, changed my life! What your music did for me was it took a Southern Baptist girl and got her baptized in the Holy Spirit! You will receive power to be his witness…to the uttermost parts of the earth, and I did go to the ends of the earth. I lived in Murmansk, Russia for 10 years. I heard your testimony of you singing “There is a Redeemer” in Russia and even though they didn’t understand the song they were touched by God. I speak Russian and I can translate any song. I now work with Russian Jews who are going to immigrate to Israel. I attend the house church at Dennis Jernigan’s. We have worship everyone Wednesday when he’s not traveling. I would love for you to come to Muskogee. I have an open door to Israel. I translate for a pastor over in Israel where 1500 people came to the conference and 200 were born again! I’m seeing the grafting in of Israel. It started from the worship and hearing songs like “Humble yourself for the Lord” when I was 18. I know you’ve heard this before but truly your voice penetrated to the heavens. Thank you!
